What you have not imagined is coordinating all of it from another continent.
That is where I come in. I am Matthias Friel, a wedding photographer based near Berlin, with more than two hundred weddings behind my camera since 2010. Many of them belonged to couples who flew in to marry here. I know the venues, the light, the paperwork and the small cultural differences that make or break a wedding abroad.

I have photographed a tea ceremony and a ballroom first dance on the same weekend, and vows spoken in two languages in the same hour. Your day does not have to fit one template.
